Our Owner – Kurt Soucek, ISA AM
Kurt Soucek is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) in Fine Art, and a graduate of the ISA’s Appraisal of Personal Property program. ISA members are required to maintain expertise in personal property appraisal and regularly engage in education related to personal property and current best practices of the appraisal industry. Kurt has studied the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) successfully completing all required courses and exams set for the industry by the Appraisal Standards Board. He has been a passionate collector and dealer of art and antiques for over 25 years, and a professional appraiser since 2012
What is an APPRAISER?: One who is expected to perform valuation services competently and in a manner that is independent, impartial, and objective.
We are a family owned personal property appraisal firm. We primarily serve Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. We charge an hourly rate, and there is a one hour minimum for any appraisal assignment or on-site inspection. Most clients have us come to their location for inspection of material to be appraised. Our office is in the South Loop/Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago near the Illinois Tech campus where we see clients by appointment only.
